Anyone age 15+ looking to become a volunteer youth worker

 

To Apply:

The Youth Work Training Academy is for young people interested in becoming volunteer youth workers in their communities. Trainees are given free training, support and work experience preparing them to volunteer with young people in their community and transferable skills which improve future job prospects.

 

Who can apply?

Young people aged 14-21yrs living in Blantyre & Hamilton, Cambuslang & Rutherglen or areas of Larkhall.

 

What will you do?

You will get the opportunity to participate in free training and work placements  two evenings per week and occasional weekends. You will also be offered the chance to participate in a residential weekend away. Travel expenses and branded clothing will be provided for all participants. Students graduating from the programme will leave with increased confidence, qualifications and improved career prospects. All students will leave with a completed CV and will be supported to achieve their goals.

Course Dates

This course is an intensive residential and takes place over a weekend in March each year.

Anyone aged 18+ who has completed the Basic Youth Work training and has had some youth work volunteering experience
